Endeavour - Hop Vintage Beer

Endeavour brewery is in New South Wales. I have been to NSW a number of times and will be going again tomorrow. I am very excited about getting back up there as it is a very nice place.

This Hop Vintage beer is a Grower Ale, I'm not really sure what "Grower" is but it's good.

This beer is a little hoppy though not as hoppy as I thought it would be. It's a very nice beer, fruity and flavourful.

This is a very good, easy to drink beer that is fairly cheep for the taste.

Corona Extra

Corona is from Mexico, a place I have been and loved. I really hope I get a chance to go back because there is so much to see and do. The first thing I did after landing in Mexico City, while waiting for my connecting flight, was have a Corona. It's just what you do in Mexico.

Corona, I just found out, is an American lager or pale lager. Until now I almost assumed corona was its own strange breed of beer but I guess I never really thought about it at all before. Corona is only 4.6% so fairly light.

In my eyes corona is one of the most well known beers in the world and I think it deserves that recognition. It is far from the best beer in the world but the colour and flavour seem to make you feel like the weather is warmer and put you in a better mood. Something else Corona is famous for is putting a lime wedge in the neck of the bottle. There are lots of different theories as to why this happens but basically it's fun so when I can I like to do it.

This is very much a summer, warm weather beer. It's super easy to drink and puts everyone in a good mood.

Sierra Nevada - Summerfest Larger

The Sierra Nevada brewery is located in Chico, at the base of the Sierra mountain range, in Northern California. I would love to get into the mountains up there...amazing snow and just a beautiful place.

Summerfest is a 5% pilsner style lager.

I was really excited about this beer because when I was in America I drank a lot of Sierra Nevada pale ale and loved it. So while I know that they make really good beer, I was very disappointed in this Summerfest Lager. It had a strong lager taste which I didn't really like but I guess I should have expected. It was crisp but wasn't the fruity crisp flavour that I was expecting. It was more of a dry crisp flavour.

I won't be getting any more of these. I'm sure there would be people out there that would enjoy this beer but I am not one of them.
