Endeavour - Hop Vintage Beer

Endeavour brewery is in New South Wales. I have been to NSW a number of times and will be going again tomorrow. I am very excited about getting back up there as it is a very nice place.

This Hop Vintage beer is a Grower Ale, I'm not really sure what "Grower" is but it's good.

This beer is a little hoppy though not as hoppy as I thought it would be. It's a very nice beer, fruity and flavourful.

This is a very good, easy to drink beer that is fairly cheep for the taste.

Corona Extra

Corona is from Mexico, a place I have been and loved. I really hope I get a chance to go back because there is so much to see and do. The first thing I did after landing in Mexico City, while waiting for my connecting flight, was have a Corona. It's just what you do in Mexico.

Corona, I just found out, is an American lager or pale lager. Until now I almost assumed corona was its own strange breed of beer but I guess I never really thought about it at all before. Corona is only 4.6% so fairly light.

In my eyes corona is one of the most well known beers in the world and I think it deserves that recognition. It is far from the best beer in the world but the colour and flavour seem to make you feel like the weather is warmer and put you in a better mood. Something else Corona is famous for is putting a lime wedge in the neck of the bottle. There are lots of different theories as to why this happens but basically it's fun so when I can I like to do it.

This is very much a summer, warm weather beer. It's super easy to drink and puts everyone in a good mood.

Sierra Nevada - Summerfest Larger

The Sierra Nevada brewery is located in Chico, at the base of the Sierra mountain range, in Northern California. I would love to get into the mountains up there...amazing snow and just a beautiful place.

Summerfest is a 5% pilsner style lager.

I was really excited about this beer because when I was in America I drank a lot of Sierra Nevada pale ale and loved it. So while I know that they make really good beer, I was very disappointed in this Summerfest Lager. It had a strong lager taste which I didn't really like but I guess I should have expected. It was crisp but wasn't the fruity crisp flavour that I was expecting. It was more of a dry crisp flavour.

I won't be getting any more of these. I'm sure there would be people out there that would enjoy this beer but I am not one of them.

Murray's - Whale Ale

Murray's brewery is in Port Stephens, NSW. I have driven up the east coast of Australia and that part of Australia is beautiful. I would happily live in that area.

This American wheat beer is 4.5%.

I saw this beer at one of my favourite pubs a few weeks ago and I enjoyed many of them. Yes, it's another wheat beer. I have changed my mind. I really like wheat beers now. This is a very nice beer but is slightly lacking in flavour.

I would be happy to drink this any time, but if you want something with a lot of flavour there are better beers out there and you can move on to this beer later on when the taste doesn't matter as much.

Barecove - Radler

Barecove brewery is in Adelaide, Australia. Adelaide is about a day's drive from where I live but I still haven't been. It is definitely on the 'places to go' list, just not that high up.

This Radler is a light 4.2%. Radler style beer is traditionally a beer and lemonade mix. I believe that this tradition was started in Germany which is where I had a Radler done this way and it was delicious.

I got these beers because it is coming up to summer and I was wanting something crisp, light and easy to drink. This beer did not live up to expectations. It is light and has lemon and lime flavours but it just does not work.

I will not be buying these again and I do not suggest anyone else does. In saying that I'm still going to drink all six of them because I know one should not waste beer.

Paulaner - Hefe-Weizen

Paulaner brewery is in Munich, Germany home of Oktoberfest. I have been lucky enough to go to Oktoberfest and I spent my time in the Paulaner tent. Oktoberfest is basically all about drinking a lot of beer out of massive jugs, so it's amazing. Munich itself is a beautiful city and I would like to get back there one day. Maybe at a time when the festival is not on to avoid all of the craziness.

This Hefe-Weizen is a 5.5% natural wheat beer.

I have said previously that I wasn't a fan of wheat beers but here I am really enjoying this one so I guess I am a fan. I must have just had a few bad ones a while ago. This beer has a dark golden colour and a fairy strong yeast flavour with some fruity flavours coming through.

I could enjoy any number of these beers at any time of the year. It is delicious and easy to drink.
